Public Relations is where I started out, but this has changed dramatically since 2001! I keep my profession up to date through the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, where I can offer my clients the latest PR practice and strategy for their business needs. Reputation and integrity will be your biggest asset.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

I love planning! In the (sometimes) frenetic process of research, brainstorming, re-evaluating ideas and refining objectives, evolves a beautiful plan that gives business owners, marketing managers (and the consultant) a reassuring way forward – and so it should. A plan isn’t something you should be a slave to. It is your guide, your A to B born of thorough research, realistic goals and a desired end result and most importantly, how you are going to get there.

AGENCY BROKER

Some clients will need the support of a large agency team. With most of my comms experience coming from agency side, I know how pitches, briefs and planning works behind the scenes. Sometimes you get a great brief, sometimes you have to re-write the brief. You may get the perfect agency or the worst agency! This can be an expensive hit in your marketing budget.

I can work with you as an independent consultant in shortlisting agencies to pitch, ensuring your brief is clear and concise and will be understood, that your budget is realistic and most importantly that you find the right agency for you. If you want extra support going forward, I can work as an intermediary between yourself and the agency to keep things on track for an initial stage of the project, or for the whole campaign. Liaising with an agency can be time consuming and exhaustive and I can ease that time pressure; making your campaign more effective in costs and results.

EVENTS

This is one of the most enjoyable parts of my work, I still get excited about events after 20 years of organising them. I relish the creativity an event can conjure up and I enjoy the entertainment and value that it can bring to its audience. From launches to conferences, awards to exhibitions and fashion shows to craft fayres – set me a challenge for your event – I’d love to take it on.

A stakeholder is someone (or a group) who are impacted by your business internally or externally. They can have a positive or negative influence on your projects and business as a whole.

Stakeholder relations could be the cornerstone to your marketing, particularly if you are in the services industry or public sector. Having worked on many stakeholder relations campaigns for a variety of clients across the years, I have seen how these can often be neglected, or an afterthought of campaigns. Some clients are excellent at stakeholder relations but just need an injection of fresh ideas. Others may be unsure who their stakeholders really are.
